Who We Are

A statutory body

for the built

environment.

PCMCHSBI

SACPCMP was established under the Project and Construction Management Professions Act, No. 48 of 2000 to regulate the registration, professional conduct, and education of three built-environment designations.

As a statutory body, SACPCMP is accountable to the people of South Africa - enforcing professional standards, protecting the public, and advancing the built environment professions.

Act No. 48 / 2000

Project and Construction Management Professions Act

The founding statute - establishes the Council, the three designations, and the regulatory framework for the project and construction management professions.

Founding charter

Act No. 85 / 1993

Occupational Health and Safety Act

Sets the duties of CHS Agents, Managers and Officers on construction sites - the operational basis on which the CHS designation is regulated.

Act No. 4 / 2013

Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)

Governs how personal information of registered persons, applicants and the public is processed by the Council. SACPCMP publishes a POPIA Manual.

Gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information. The Council publishes a PAIA Manual setting out how records may be requested.
